Princess Tea 2 -
Sunday, March 7 |
Dress up in your favorite party dress & bring an adult to Gaithersburg’s Kentlands Mansion for an unforgettable Princess Tea. This very special event will be held on Sun, Mar 7 from 1:30 - 3:30 pm. An assortment of tea sandwiches, fruit, cookies and teas will be served.
Events include make-overs, pictures, and coloring. Cost for the tea is $20 per person for adults & $15 for children aged under 12. Reservations are required. For reservations please call 301-258-6425. |

St. Paddy's Day Parade -
Saturday, March 13 |
The City of Gaithersburg, the Harp & Shamrock Society of Gaithersburg, & the Peterson Companies will host the 10th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade from 10 a.m. to noon on Sat, Mar 13 at Washingtonian Center (I-370 & Washingtonian Blvd).
Dozens of units will march in the parade, including Celtic dancers, bagpipe bands, clowns, fire trucks, and more. When the parade is over there will be live music by the Martin Family Band & family activities in the plaza area until 1 p.m. |

Little Mermaid -
Sunday, March 14 |
The City of Gaithersburg & American Family Theater present the Little Mermaid, at Gaithersburg High School, 314 South Frederick Ave. 2 performances will be held on Sun, Mar 14, at 2:30 p.m. & 4:30 p.m.
Tickets are FREE but must be picked up in advance. Resident tickets are available on Mon, Mar 1. Nonresident tickets will be available on Mon, Mar 8. Visit the Activity Center at Bohrer Park Mon - Sat, 8 a.m - 4 p.m.
Those attending are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items. |

Indoor Flea Markets -

Turn your attic treasures into cash, or find some great bargains at the City of Gaithersburg indoor flea markets at the Montgomery Co Agricultural Center, 16 Chestnut Street. The Sat dates are Jan 16, Feb 20, Mar 20, & Apr 17, all from 9 am - 1 pm. Admission is free.
Vendors are sought to sell gently used & new items. Registration for residents selling used items is $17/space & $27 for nonresidents.

Comedy/Mystery Society -

The Comedy/Mystery Society, combining astounding magic & sleight of hand with interactive theater & hilarious fun, announces its Winter/Spring 2010 season at the Arts Barn. This season’s periodic “Society Meetings” - each with a different agenda, frequently with guest artists - will be held at 8 p.m. on the following days: Jan 29, Feb 17, Mar 27, Apr 30, May 21 & June 5. Over the River -

Family ties are explored in comedic fashion in Joe DiPietro’s “Over the River and Through the Woods,” presented by Rockville Little Theatre at the Arts Barn in Gaithersburg. The show runs from March 5 through 21, 2010, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Admission is $15, $13 for City of Gaithersburg residents. This show is suitable for all ages.

The Arts Barn presents “Just 4,” a multi media exhibit featuring the works of Sean Keelan, Leyla Rzayeva, Izya Shlosberg & Sergey Zhilevich, on display Jan 8 - Mar 7. An artist’s reception will be held on Tuesday, Feb 9 from 7 - 8:30 pm. The Arts Barn is located at 311 Kent Square Road in Gaithersburg.
Within the exhibition, the transition between the past & present visual language is described by a sustained interest in the lasting elements of visual creativity. |
